  5) God’s laws = Organization Ah yes. True true. And, we're prepping you cattle for the next "new light" in which we'll "reveal" that The Organization is actually the form Jesus has taken for his return. Yes, that's right. WE are the second coming.

  6) Romans 12:12 means that being “malleable” by Jehovah is “to be useful” to the Organization!! As the second part of the coming "new light" we're prepping you for, you shall and will become actual and literal slaves for the organization.   I know that atheism is the logical and reasonable way to go but as i have said i see intelligent design everywhere i look. I cannot accept that all of this came by chance, but at the same time does this mean i have to worship a creator? And does it mean it's the God of the bible?

  I hear you. After a certain amount of time though, I just couldn't accept any form of creative entity. It just didn't hold up. Sure I concede that I may in fact be wrong, that there may be something there, although it's highly unlikely.

  Have you read Richard Dawkins' The God Delusion? You probably have, but I thought he was especially eloquent defending the atheist perspective.

  Anyway, Pat Condell is hilarious. Very intelligent, very dry sense of humor (British you know).

  When it comes to the bOrg, yes, I'm afraid of them.

  I'm a little embarrased to admit that, but I truly believe this religion can turn into a worse doomsday cult than they already are. That's why I'm afraid of them. If they have the power to have a cultish hold on so many people.....then who knows what else they're capable of.

  I know my parents would sign over all their assets without blinking and go live in a hole if the GB told them too.

  I talked to my father about these notes from Losch's speech. I singled out the whole eyes rotting out of their sockets/radiation thing. I qualified it by acknowleding I'm no expert, but past incidences in human history illustrate how deadly radiation can be.

  For instance, I reminded him about Chernobyl. The area around Chernobyl is still seeing devastating effects of the meltdown, like severe birth defects. Even some Japanese survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki, who are now old, are still feeling effects (higher incidents of cancer, etc.) from radiation.

  Radiation pollutes and damages organic life. I told him that if "radiation may be used" during Armageddon, it would probably have to be used worldwide. And since it may be used worldwide, how can it be selective (i.e. 'the wicked')? You can't be selective with a general radiation attack.

  I told my father not to take my word for it but to Google the effects of radiation and how long radiation will stay in the environment and read up what nuclear physicists have to say on the matter.

  I asked him then how then does Losch think that will work. If Jehovah uses radiation to destroy the wicked, how can "faithful witnesses" escape the deadly effects?

  His answer......"Naturally we don't know, but obviously Jehovah himself will control it." He did concede the fact that Losch is "just speculating."

  Ok, now I'm completely effing depressed. I love my father but he just accepts stuff like this with only a superfical perfunctory questioning.

  I'm so steamed that members of the GB can talk about these horrible things, basing it on ancient scriptures and speculating what form the modern execution of these prophecies will take, and most JWs will "take it as gospel" to coin the phrase.

  I remember when I was a teenager, we had a Sunday talk about selecting a marriage mate.

  The speaker thought he was hilarious and tried to make the talk a stand up comedy routine. And of course the congregation ate it up. Since it was so long ago, I'll have to paraphrase a little. Not a lot though since I remember this talk vividly. It made me that nauseated.

  "Now this is for the brothers. Yeah, I'm going to pick on you first. [laughter]. You may have your eye on someone right now. She seems like a spiritual person, she's in field service very frequently, she dresses well, seems to be kind, and so on. But how good of a homemaker will she be? Now, you brothers need to find this out since you'll be living in the same house and her. Now this sister is probably still living at home, so perhaps ask her to show you her room. Is it clean, orderly, and tidy upon a snap inspection? Or perhaps is it cluttered and in disarray? Sure she's busy in the ministry but having good homemaking skills is required in a christian household."

  I'm meeting with the elders...

  i was so adament with my husband about not meeting with them./ i said "no" under no uncertain terms that i did not want to have this meeting.

  so, they have been hounding us for days about it, repeatedly asking.. finally, my husband and the elder both come up to me asking about it.

  so i just said to elder that the last meeting was discouraging and i don't want to be put through that again.
